💛 At Roo’d Acres Rooster Sanctuary, every crow counts — and so does every contribution. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our work is entirely funded by donations, sponsorships, and the kindness of animal lovers who believe that every creature deserves a safe, peaceful life. Unlike traditional animal shelters, rooster sanctuaries receive very little public funding and are often the last option for birds with nowhere else to go.

Roosters are some of the most frequently abandoned and misunderstood animals in rescue — often discarded due to zoning laws, noise complaints, or simply because they’re not hens. They are also the least likely to be adopted, which means most of the birds who come to us will remain here for the rest of their lives.
